Nudgee Residential Subdivision – Global Stability Analysis & Geotechnical Investigation

GT Geotechnical undertook seven borehole investigations to develop detailed geotechnical and geological data to support a global stability analysis for a 21-lot residential subdivision in Nudgee. The assessment was completed in accordance with Brisbane City Council Land Development Guidelines, where confirmation of global stability was required to support the proposed retaining wall design.

Our approach focused on delivering cost-effective investigations while still providing the level of technical confidence required for council approval. GT Geotechnical worked closely with the structural design engineer, providing rapid geotechnical input to assist with preliminary concrete sleeper retaining wall design and optimization.

The final geotechnical and global stability report was delivered within seven days, enabling plan sealing to proceed without delay and keeping the development application on track. This fast, practical support reduced approval risk, minimized program delays, and provided the client and design team with confidence in the long-term stability of the development.
